"If not me, then who? If not now, then when?"
Emma Watson kicking some arse on the global issue of gender equality and blowing my mind all at once. Some people take my breath away. "How can we affect change in the world when only half of it is invited or welcomed to participate in the conversation. Gender equality is your issue too."
Ms Watson speaks about the need for a better understanding of the word "feminism". That it has been distorted into an 'unattractive' quality, or as "men hating" when the reality is that it is fighting for both genders freedom. And so it should not only be women fighting for the cause. That men too should be formally invited and welcomed to change gender equality too. "If men don't have to be aggressive in order to be accepted, women wont feel compelled to be submissive. If men don't have to control, women wont need to be controlled. BOTH men and women should feel free to be sensitive. BOTH men and women should feel free to be strong."
Amen to that!
